Calculations

Measure the length and width of your area in feet. Determine how deep you wish your mulch to be in inchs (3-4 inchs recommended) and use the following formula:
Length (in feet) x Width (in feet) x Depth (in inchs) / 324 = cubic yards needed.

Example: 12 feet long x 3 feet wide x 4 inchs deep = 0.444 cubic yards
